Well, there are lots of things. And I'm sure that there are other platforms with similar services, however!
What I love the most about this platform is the level of user friendliness. Beside that, the project managers will assist you anytime within the implementation month, and are always open to your ideas. I cannot speak for all the project managers at BambooHR, but the one we got was awesome. I see that this company in particular, values their clients and is always open to improvement.
Also, I will have to mention another thing that I love about BambooHR, and that's the Help Center. Every tool and perk is explained very very detailed in the webinars and guides. I appreciate that very much.

I guess that would be the limitation when it comes to customizing your account. I'm talking about not being able to add more widgets, or customizing the vacation policies more and other stuff like that. It's not like you're missing anything. It's the most complete platform I heard of.

It was extremely helpful for keeping the setup moving forward and feeling confident that the system is configured correctly for your individual use-case. It streamlined so many of our processes and saves so much time. It has also increased efficiency between departments as well as team members. The only thing I wish we were able to contact references by email and capture their responses from within the system. Other than that, we have not found anything else that it isn't capable of.
The visually appealing, easy-to-use user interface is definitely one of the best features for us - this makes it easy to roll it out across the team. The reports and organograms generated through BambooHR are fantastic and make everything so much more organized. We've also loved being able to customize some things like adding information tables that suit our organization's needs. BambooHR's monthly subscription is also a huge plus since many other software options require year-long subscriptions and annual payments which can be difficult to manage for relatively smaller businesses / start-ups. Customer service is also a strength for BambooHR, especially the early calls and implementation calls. Another absolute favourite feature for us is the Help section bar which takes one through step by step instructions for most queries - it feels like someone showing one around and teaching one personally.Cons
There seems to be no room to request additional feature development even though there are a few specific ones we need and have not found in BambooHR - for example, BambooHR's Time-out feature is useful in itself but does not allow for additional options like incorporating Work-from-home to show who's in but working from home. This would've been super useful since we have a highly flexible work culture and needed this feature. With Performance Management, we needed to implement feedback alerts on the 3-month mark for new employees independent of the standard appraisal cycle. There's also no way as such to exclude newer employees from the performance activities if they are not eligible - we would need to individually tell them to just not submit evaluations. I would love for BambooHR to offer the option to request additional features they they could perhaps develop over some time period.

The only thing that I wish was a little more accessible is the configuration of custom fields and tables. There are a lot of options for customizing but currently all requests must passed through the implementation expert or technical support. They are very quick to act of your requests, but having a way to add/customize on the fly would be preferable when you have an IT person on staff.

I have used several Enterprise HRIS systems for Fortune 50 companies and BambooHR is as close you can get to those for a small to medium size company for the price. It is easy to customize, has all the necessary fields for accurate reporting, document storage and has some nice features such as eNPS and electronic signature capabilities.
I was able to easily migrate from an existing HRIS system into Bamboo seamlessly and add some fields that were missing from the previous platform. The performance management module is built upon employee self assessment and goal setting to ensure the 2-way conversation with managers and encourage open dialogue about performance and expectations. I particularly like the eNPS survey that allows me to take the staff's temperature periodically without having to utilize a separate program.
Lastly, the TA module is on par other platforms and directly link with the major career sites making sourcing, interviewing and on-boarding a breeze.Cons
It doesn't have some of the more robust features of an enterprise system but for small and medium size companies trying to reduce or control costs, BambooHR does it all without costing a small fortune. The only 2 things I miss that BambooHR doesn't provide is a benefits platform to assist with open enrollment and a library of uploaded job titles that populate all the corresponding data such as FLSA status, EEO category and salary bands.
I love the interface -- the simplicity of it and how it's clean, modern, and attractive. The system includes the fields we need to store employee information and if we need something special the support team will set it up for free. I love that! Some of the features are not as robust as I would like, specifically the time tracking (so we're not using it) and the ATS. But I know BambooHR takes feedback and is always making improvements, so I look forward to seeing where it goes.

The only thing I would looooooooove to see for BambooHR is more Canadian compatible payroll providers that integrate with it. Right now there is only Blue Marble and Simple Pay. It would be amazing if some big names like Ceridian, ADP, Gusto, or even Quickbooks would be compatible to have a tab in Bamboo that redirects them to their pay stubs and T4's. Or why not next level - what if BambooHR came out with a payroll module themselves and it was compatible in the U.S. and Canada. My mind would be blown in that case.

BambooHR is very user friendly for administrators and users of the system. I love the way it streamlines HR processes from the start when you advertise a role, to on-boarding to day to management of employee information. For growing SME's with limited HR resource it's fantastic.

I haven't come across anything major but I like the idea of being able to email referees directly when you make an offer of employment.

There are a lot of different features in there, I used to work with a different ATS, which was only meant as an ATS, nothing else and that was a bit more advanced than the hiring module in Bamboo is. Same goes for the performance management tool, which is a bit limited maybe and simple but for the 50 employees we have it works fine for now. Would be nice if the peer feedback could also be 360 feedback and if it could be requested more often throughout the year.

Honestly, I love it all. If I had to point to anything, it would be the inability to change titles. Manager is the go to for the title, I would like to be able to change that to Director, Direct Report, Lead, etc. Just to be able to make those changes so the software my staff sees have the same language we use in our organization.

This software has transformed our old school (Pen/Paper, spreadsheet) HR department into a more digitally efficient department within a few weeks. BambooHR is an amazing software that is very intuitive, user friendly and has fields and tabs that help to make tracking employee data more efficiently! We are 1 week past our implementation date, and the feedback from our employees so far has been great. They love the time off features, benefits at a view, having access to their own data! Managers are loving the approval flows and the ability to make all of our forms and requests digitally through bamboo, without having to send forms between department. Our implementation specialist was Fantastic!! She was there for us through the entire process and customized several new fields for us. Bamboo had most of what we needed, but we have some specific polices that required some special requests. There has not been much that we don't like about BambooHR so far. I would say the areas for improvement would be expending their Mobile App to allow for a little more functionality, but it currently does a good job. I would like to see a Spanish version of the Mobile app also. As far as the desktop version of the software it's great. An area for improvement in the desktop version would be to have more complex approval flow options that would allow different approval flows for each dept instead of the same approval flow for the entire company. However, we did find a workaround with Bamboo for this for now which works great. Overall this software is a great help to many different types of companies all over the world.

I come from using ADP, so I was used to a lot of different functionalities that i was disappointed to find out BambooHR did not offer (i.e., custom report filters, complex approval workflows, etc.). I know the Bamboo team is constantly taking feedback, so hopefully their functionalities will continue to expand over time.
This software is so easy to use. I have many employees that do not have a lot of computer skills and I was able to show them how to maneuver through the system within an hour. BambooHR is just the beginning of us going paperless, at least as much as possible. While no software or product is 100% perfect. BambooHR is certainly close. I'm still new to the system so I don't have a lot of negative feedback or any for that matter. The implementation process was great, my trainer was wonderful. The system has given me everything I needed. Looking back, I suppose I could say I wish I had more time with the implementation expert. Of course, I started my implementation process at the beginning of the holiday season so both of our time was limited.
It is way easier to list what I do not like... which is NOTHING.. we LOVE it ALL! Simply amazing process, capabilities with built in tutorials, amazing support, and a true, do what they say and say what they do process! We went through signing of the paperwork, and full implementation in right at 4 weeks, and this included the holiday time-off struggle. WOW! Everything that was promised was delivered, and more. Wendy our implementation Manager was so amazing. She was on top of everything, went above and beyond, was amazing in explaining of everything and giving us the tools and support needed. I really wish I could say more, but it would be a novel. Customer service is absolutely amazing! I receive an instant response when I use the chat box, and the operators are always very friendly and helpful. I used different software with my previous company, and I definitely did not get the level of customer service that BambooHR provides.

There are not too many flexibilities regarding customizing fields. You'll need to request and if there are enough similar requests, it can go into production. Regarding the new LOPD in Europe: BambooHR is compliant however regarding applicants consent to register/eliminate their data you have to manually add the question in your application form.
The training module is only to track the training, like a "calendar" and you can add files.
There is no integration with Spanish Payroll partners, but there is the API for integration in case necessary.
The Performance module (add-on) does not allow you to customize it as you want if you already have a performance review process established. The questions are standardized and you can add 3 more if you want. So if you already have a performance review process defined, wouldn't be a good option. If not, however, it's a great option to start it in your company.
