The recent outbreak of COVID-19 has seen unprecedented numbers of employees working remotely. Even companies that previously didn’t allow remote work are now encouraging their staff members to work from home in order to help prevent the spread of the coronavirus and to keep their employees safe. Remote work is an excellent way to reduce the risk of infection while also maintaining productivity.
There are, however, some challenges that companies may face, especially if they are adopting a remote work policy only in response to the pandemic. Companies that didn’t previously have remote work policies may not have the technology and policies in place already to support their remote workers.
